Episode 253: Feng Shui Qi Forecast: December 2023
Anjie Cho & Laura Morris, Mindful Design

In this episode, we’re sharing a feng shui qi forecast for the month of December 2023! First, we go over what’s going on in nature and what you can expect energetically this month, and then Anjie shares an I Ching reading for the Holistic Spaces Podcast listener community. We also share how you can make the most of this month’s energy in your home through feng shui.

We cover:

  • The Winter Solstice is on December 21st, the longest night of the year for those of us in the northern hemisphere. Yin energy is at it’s peak and after the winter solstice the days will lengthen and yang qi will slowly gain more strength

  • Representing quiet and stillness, Water qi will peak during the solstice, making it an ideal time to go inward and find wisdom

  •  How the Chinese zodiac animal for December, the rat, can be supportive of those born in the years of dragon, ox and monkey, but may prove challenging for those born in the years of ram and horse

  • Why this might be a perfect time to seek the wisdom and support of a new teacher and other helpful people

    and much more.

Communication is one of the most important tools we have as we try to negotiate our relationships with family members, friends, and fellow workers. When the lines of communication are blocked or unclear, it can be incredibly difficult to understand each other as well as for us to feel heard. For episode 251 we are joined once again by our teacher, Katherine Metz, to discuss how feng shui can assist us in improved clarity with communication. Katherine has been practicing and teaching feng shui for over four decades and her experience and insights are always illuminating and inspiring.

We cover:

  • How doors that bump into one another when they open can create discord the place of communication

  • How a bedroom with no door can create disharmony in a romantic relationship

  •  How a well placed feng shui crystal can be a step in the right direction for improved communication.

    and much more.

Episode 250: Feng Shui Room x Room: the Front Door
Anjie Cho & Laura Morris, Mindful Design

Often called the “mouth of qi”, the front door is one of the most important areas of your home when it comes to feng shui. It represents your face to the world and people’s first impressions of you. A strong front door can open your home and life up to opportunity and positive energy. For part two in our Room x Room series, we are taking a look at the many ways the front door can influence the balance and harmony of our homes.

We cover:

  • The importance of the doorway being visible and not overgrown with shrubbery or blocked by trees

  • Why the front door should always be working properly and that it can open fully

  • The specific energies associated with the different colors that you might paint your door

  • The value in keeping a clear pathway to and from the front door

    and much more.
